How to perform the pendulum exercise
- Place your unaffected hand on a table or counter. Bend over slightly so that your affected arm is hanging straight down.
- Begin moving your body slightly to get your affected arm swinging a few inches backward and forward; allow your arm to swing back and forth 10 to 15 times.
- Repeat these steps to swing your arm side to side and in clockwise and counterclockwise circles; do 10 repetitions in each direction.
- Take a short break, and then repeat the exercise again until you’ve done three sets in each direction.
