Ruth received her B.A. in biology from Calvin College a long time ago (1988!) and earned her A.A.S as a physical therapist assistant from Baker College. She has worked in several outpatient clinics treating a wide range of orthopedic ailments but is especially passionate about causative biomechanics, joint protection, and injury prevention. A long-time group fitness instructor, Ruth is certified in general group exercise, Pilates, and yoga. She received her STOTT certification in 2005 in Chicago and has been teaching in a clinical and athletic setting ever since.
Ruth has been a recreational runner for more than 30 years (mostly because other sports require more coordination than she possesses) and enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities. She loves to help keep people active and pain-free!
