How is this accomplished?
The successful management of any type of spine disorder starts with a comprehensive evaluation focused on each individuals loss of function and identification of their pain generator. The expert staff has over 125 years of combined experience in managing all types and stages (acute to chronic) of spinal problems. Once an evaluation is completed, an evidence-based approach is utilized in developing a treatment plan that will assist in pain management and optimal return to function as quickly as possible.

Our treatment approach?
The staff at Armor Physical Therapy take an eclectic treatment approach to the successful management of all types of spine-related problems. Through advanced, post-graduate training in many different areas, our staff utilizes many of the following techniques during our one-on-one sessions:
- Manual therapy (segmental joint mobilization)
- Manipulative techniques (osteopathic approach)
- Muscle energy
- Contract-Relax and Strain/Counter-strain
- The McKenzie Method (repeated movements)
- Mobilization with Movement (Mulligan Technique)
- Soft tissue and deep tissue massage techniques
- Myofascial and Active Release techniques
- Trigger point release
In conjunction with soft tissue management, it is necessary to restore optimal patient function through the development of a long-term home exercise program to address range of motion (ROM), flexibility, strength and proper muscle (recruitment) firing pattern. By empowering each individual with the necessary “tools” to manage their condition, getting back to your normal activities of daily living (ADL’s) and recreation activities are achievable.
