Rachel Small, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT

Rachel is a physical therapist and joined the staff at Armor Physical Therapy (formerly Agility Physical Therapy & Sports Performance) in April 2015. She graduated in 2012 from the Central Michigan University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Rachel is also McKenzie Technique certified.

Rachel decided to pursue a career in physical therapy while rehabbing from an ACL reconstruction following a soccer injury as a senior in high school. During her training, her final clinical affiliation was at Memorial Hermann Ironman Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas where she had the opportunity to work with athletes of all levels from weekend warriors to professional football and baseball players. Prior to starting at Agility Physical Therapy, Rachel worked in the Metro-Detroit area, primarily in outpatient orthopedics. She was a lead physical therapist and worked with the lifespan of patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Rachel is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Michigan Physical Therapy Association, Orthopedic Physical Therapy Section, and Sports Physical Therapy Section. Rachel has been a clinical instructor for a number of physical therapy, athletic training, and exercise science students. She continues to play recreational soccer.
